Annual Club Fundraiser Match

COLCHESTER, VT. –  -(Ammoland.com)- The Vermont State Rifle and Pistol Association (VSRPA) and the Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club are holding their annual Rimfire Steel Match Fundraiser on Saturday, September 27 to support junior shooting sports in Vermont.
Sponsored by the VSRPA and Action Target and hosted by the Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club, 100% of the funds raised at the match go to support the Vermont Junior Shooting Sports Association and the University of Vermont Shooting Sports Club.
Members of the UVM Shooting Sports Club’s teams – known as the Gun Cats – will staff the match as well as serve as range officers.
Those interested in participating in the Annual Rimfire Steel Match Fundraiser can download the match application (www.vjssa.org/#!fundraiser/c16lj ).
The entry fee prior to September 20 is $25 for adults and $10 for kids, and after the 20th it’s $30 and $15. Shooter check-in and last minute registration will begin at 8:30am with first shots fired scheduled for 9:30am.
The match is a .22LR pistol only competition with both an Open and Limited division. Prizes will be awarded for High Junior, High Lady, and High Overall in each division.

UVM Places 3rd in Rimfire and 5th in Centerfire at SPP Nationals.

Pistol team had some tough competition at the SPP Nationals. Our Centerfire Team got 5th place and we would like to congratulateCorps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit's blazing fast time of 186 for their winning 1st place. The span from second to 5th place was only 6 seconds!!!
Our rimfire team placed 3rd with a time of 214 seconds which is the squads best time yet! Congrats to them for this was the first time any of the squad member have ever shot at the competition!
Competition was tough but fun. Almost 100 athletes competed from 10 colleges and universities! The match is getting popular!
